General Santos City- A recently-institutionalized multi-agency network Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty or EPAHP met here today in order to align all efforts to achieve zero hunger status in the country.
In its program review and planning workshop held today, Loreto Jr Cabaya, director of DSWD12 expressed commitment to efficiently implement policies and programs that will contribute to reducing hunger and poverty.
DSWD12 has been implementing feeding program for children, Umpungan sa Nutrisyun for muslim communities, livelihood opportunities provision for vulnerable groups as well as health improvement subsidies among Pantawid Pamilya families.
Other NGAs also committed support along their respective mandate while assessing gaps that hinder implementation to address hunger and poverty.
Among the objectives of the workshop are the integration of community participation procurement to allow community-based organizations participate in government bidding activities, construction, repair of irrigation facilities and intensified implementation of National Program on Population and Family Planning.
Participants include PCC, NNC, DOST NFA, DTI, BFAR, DA, POPCOM, MAHINTANA FOUNDATION, ATI, TESDA, PCA, DA, PCIC, SLP, PANTAWID, DICT, PCA, among others.
