General Santos City – The DSWD 12 Pag-abot Program successfully led the reintegration of an Individual in Street Situation (ISS) beneficiary back to his hometown in Barangay Bula, General Santos City on November 13, 2025. The activity aimed to ensure a safe, supported, and well-coordinated return for the beneficiary as part of DSWD’s commitment to holistic social protection.
An exit conference was conducted at the Barangay Hall of Bula, bringing together the beneficiary and his receiving family, the Barangay Captain, BLGU staff, Pag-abot RPMO, and the CSWDO area social worker. During the meeting, partner offices presented their roles and commitments to provide continuous assistance and monitoring to support the beneficiary’s transition.
Following the conference, the Pag-Abot team also conducted a skills assessment and intake session to determine the beneficiary’s needs and potential interventions. These steps form part of the Department’s reintegration approach, ensuring beneficiaries are equipped with appropriate support as they rebuild their lives within their communities.
