The Barangay Development Planning (BDP) roll-out in the municipality of Tampakan in the province of South Cotabato commenced recently in Koronadal City participated by Barangay Officials: Punong Barangays, Barangay Treasurers, Barangay Kagawad, Sangguniang Kabataan Officials together with the members of Non-Government Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, KALAHI-CIDSS Community Volunteers and Area Coordinating Team of Tampakan.

DSWD XII Regional Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya, during the activity expressed support to the community-led projects of KALAHI CIDSS.

The BDP is a comprehensive multi-sectoral development activity integrating inclusive and participatory approach led by the barangay development council. The plan is an official document of the barangay that specifies policy options, programs, projects and activities intended to contribute towards the achievement of the barangay’s developmental goals and objectives.

Said activity is in line with DSWD- DILG and the Local Government Academy (LGA) aims to conduct training on barangay development planning (BDP) to KALAHI-CIDSS covered areas in accordance with DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-087
