Manila, Philippines – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII has once again showcased excellence and dedication in serving the Filipino people, as it proudly bagged major awards during the 2023 National Praise Awards held at Landbank Plaza, Malate, Manila.

Leading the pack of honorees is Ms. Jackiya Lao, who clinched the 1st Place for Best Division Chief. In addition, the Crisis Intervention Unit of DSWD XII, represented by Ms. Nanig Sanoy, secured the 1st Place for Best Crisis Intervention Unit.

The recognition doesn’t stop there, as DSWD XII’s Regional Office received multiple accolades. Melharie Raupan of the Administrative Staff garnered the 2nd Place for Best Administrative Staff, while Junaina Guro was honored with the 2nd Place for Best Social Worker – Community Based.

Moreover, DSWD XII received Special Citations for its outstanding initiatives in disaster response and public information dissemination. The Disaster Response and Rehabilitation Section, represented by Johanisa Marohombsar, was recognized for its Pusong Maagap at Mapagkalinga. Meanwhile, Jerry Dumdum represented the office for its Pusong May Malasakit sa Larangan Ng Pambublikong Impormasyon.

The awarding ceremony was graced by the presence of guest speaker Imee Marcos, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian,esteemed members of the DSWD Executive Committee, Regional Directors, and the proud awardees themselves.
