The The Food STAMP program in Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte, under the auspices of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), continues its commitment to holistic well-being by conducting Nutrition Education Sessions (NES) for its beneficiaries.
101 beneficiaries of the pilot implementation of the Food STAMP program participated in a Nutrition Education Session aimed at promoting dietary diversity and fostering healthy lifestyle choices. These sessions are vital components of the program, ensuring beneficiaries are equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the importance of nutritious foods in their daily lives.
NES sessions are a requisite for beneficiaries to qualify for food redemption, reinforcing the program’s emphasis on holistic development. Without attending these sessions, beneficiaries are ineligible for food assistance during monthly redemption periods.
