General Santos City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region XII is conducting a three-day Training on Organizational Management for the Presidents of Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) under Special Projects. This event, taking place from May 14-16, 2024, at London Beach Resort, aims to boost the skills and capabilities of SLPA leaders from all four provinces of Region XII.

The training covers several crucial areas, including effective organizational management, the role of organized SLPAs in peace and development with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, processes for securing registration with the Cooperative Development Authority, registration and product enhancement with the Department of Trade and Industry, and workers’ organization and development with the Department of Labor and Employment.

While,Jackiya A. Lao, Chief of the Promotive Services Division, highlighted the importance of paying forward the support received. She stated, “The goal is not only to focus on the livelihood itself but to help grow our community. We must take care of what the government has given us and make it flourish.”
