The Department of Social Welfare and Development XII (DSWD XII) staff are still in the process of monitoring the 15-days Cash-for-Work of the Project LAWA at BINHI in different barangays in Malungon, Sarangani Province. Even though the Stage 2 is almost finished, DSWD XII Project Development Officers with the support of the Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer are still engaging with partner-beneficiaries to assure the effectivity and completion of the project.
A total of 419 partner-beneficiaries across selected barangays of Malungon are passionately cooperating in the Cash-for-Work mainly focusing on creating communal gardens to enhance their livelihood. Most of them are farmer’s association which gave them a strategic advantage in creating these gardens. This will not only improve their supply consumption, but also will give them more financial opportunities for their associations.
Upon the completion of this 15-day period, the project will transition into Stage 3. In this stage, beneficiaries will engage in learning and development sessions designed to equip them with strategies for sustaining the project’s benefits.
The Project LAWA at BINHI is a region-wide initiative, with similar activities being carried out across all provinces in Region XII. The close monitoring by DSWD XII staff ensures that the project remains effective and successful, addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals for community development and environmental conservation.
