Koronadal City – The Mobile Command Center (MCC) Soccsksargen has officially arrived at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XII, marking a significant enhancement to the region’s disaster preparedness and response infrastructure.

The MCC is equipped with state-of-the-art information and communications technology (ICT) equipment, designed to bridge communication gaps during disaster and emergency operations. This advanced mobile unit provides a crucial linkage between disaster-stricken areas and the Regional Operations Center (ROC), Disaster Response Command Center (DRCC), or the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (RDRRMC).

“This MCC will serve as a lifeline during calamities, ensuring seamless communication and coordination, which is essential for effective disaster management,” said DSWD XII Director Loreto Cabaya.

The MCC was formally welcomed at the DSWD XII office, with Dir. Cabaya leading the ceremonial reception together with DRMD Chief Naira Aratuc and members of the Mancom.

The MCC Deployment Team comprises skilled professionals from DSWD XII to ensure the efficient operation of the command center. This specialized team is prepared to deploy the MCC immediately to disaster zones, providing real-time data and communication support essential for rapid and effective response.

The deployment of the MCC is part of DSWD XII’s ongoing commitment to strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience in Soccsksargen and across the Philippines.
