The Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region XII has promptly conducted validation and assessment operations in response to the heavy rains and subsequent flooding affecting several areas in the provinces of Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani today, July 13.

Simultaneous validation and assessment activities are being carried out in the municipalities of Kiamba and Maitum in Sarangani, as well as in Lebak, Kalamansig, and Palimbang in Sultan Kudarat.

The DSWD XII teams are currently consolidating data on the total number of affected families per municipality to ensure a targeted and efficient response. In light of the situation, DSWD XII Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya has ordered the immediate dispatch of relief aid to the affected families to provide timely assistance and alleviate their hardships.

“We are committed to ensuring that all affected families receive the necessary support during this challenging time,” said Director Cabaya.
