Lake Sebu, South Cotabato – In commemoration of the 2024 National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) with the theme “Bantayog ng Katatagan at ang Pagbubuklod sa Layuning Kahandaan,” the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XII has once again demonstrated its commitment to environmental sustainability and disaster preparedness through its annual tree planting initiative, known as “Treesilience.”

Held in Barangay Luhib, Lake Sebu, this year’s tree planting activity brought together the collective efforts of DSWD XII, the Province of South Cotabato, and the Allah Valley Landscape Development Alliance (AVLDA). The initiative underscores the crucial role of tree planting in enhancing disaster resilience and fostering ecological balance.

As the nation observes National Disaster Resilience Month, DSWD XII reaffirms its dedication to implementing programs and activities that promote disaster preparedness, environmental sustainability, and community resilience. 🌱
