As of July 16, 2024, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XII has successfully distributed a total of 16,892 food packs to residents affected by the recent flooding caused by continuous heavy rains in the region.

According to the latest data, DSWD XII has delivered: 10,897 food packs to Pikit, 436 food packs to Pigcawayan in Cotabato Province, 209 food packs to Kiamba, 150 food packs to Maitum in Sarangani Province, 1,700 food packs to Kalamansig, 3,500 food packs to Lebak in Sultan Kudarat

DSWD XII Regional Director has emphasized the importance of swiftly addressing the needs of flood-affected residents. Despite the additional challenge of serving two regions, DSWD XII remains committed to supporting communities in both Region XII and the affected areas within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

“We are dedicated to ensuring that no resident is left without assistance during these challenging times,” said the Regional Director. “Our teams are working tirelessly to provide the necessary support and relief to all those impacted by the floods.”

The DSWD XII continues to monitor the situation and coordinate with local government units to ensure timely and efficient distribution of aid to affected communities.
