Maguindanao del Norte – Secretary Rex Gatchalian of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr., and Mindanao Development Authority Chairperson Secretary Leo Magno arrived today in Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat. They attended a briefing on the effects of recent weather systems in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Following the briefing, the officials will visit flood-affected families in Maguindanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Lanao del Norte to assess the situation and ensure the provision of adequate support and resources.

“We are here to ensure that the needs of our people are met swiftly and effectively,” said Secretary Gatchalian.
