Koronadal City| With the passion to deliver social welfare programs and services to the people, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII through the Planning Section of Policy and Plans Division, conducts CY 2025 first quarter meeting with the USPWC XII at Viajera Cafe, Koronadal City.

DSWD XII Regional Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya led the activity and emphasized the importance of a united front in delivering efficient and responsive social protection services. “Our commitment to enhancing the welfare of our communities remains steadfast. Through collective action and strong partnerships, we can achieve greater milestones in improving the lives of the people we serve,” he stated.

The purpose of the activity is to address and resolve concerns regarding the implementation of social protection and welfare programs as CY 2025 commences, take the strategic steps required for improvement, and give updates on the various Interagency Committees that are essential to the provision of social welfare services and programs.

One of the resolutions passed was the support of the Regional Social Development Committee XII for the implementation of the Regional Plan of Action for Children RPAC-XII for CY 2024-2028.

Representatives from various government agencies from Provincial Government of Cotabato, DSWD XII, DOH XII, CPD XII, Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat, Save the Children, Provincial Government of Sarangani, TESDA XII, Alcantara Foundation, NCSC XII, DILG XII, OWWA XII, PAO, DOLE XII, Local Government of Tacurong City, CHR XII, Provincial Government of South Cotabato, NEDA XII, DMW XII, DTI XII, DepEd XII, PRO XII, Local Government of Koronadal City, Local Government of General Santos City, RPO XII, PHILHEALTH, Local Government of Kidapawan City, local government units (LGUs), and non-government organizations (NGOs) from SOCCSKSARGEN actively participated in the discussions, ensuring a comprehensive approach to addressing the welfare needs of the vulnerable sectors in Region XII.
