TAMPAKAN, South Cotabato, April 27 – The Department of Social Welfare and Development recognized Thursday ten most outstanding clients under Modified Conditional Cash Transfer for their remarkable achievements in the ongoing implementation of the government’s signature anti-poverty program.

DSWD 12 regional director Bai Zorahayda T. Taha said the ten beneficiaries, all IPs covered by MCCT’s support service international, have exceeded their targets for corn production this year and they were recommended each for additional bag of seedlings.

Dir. Taha identified the beneficiaries as Charie Maguling, Lorna Tamba, Melisa Lasib, Ana Kilam, Rose Marie Masamlok, all of Tupi town, South Cotabato; Loreto Raga, Ivy Distura, Hazel Rentura, of Tampakan town; and Narcylin Sampoling and Berta Diamalin of Polomolok.

“I want to acknowledge our clients as well our partners who help our program,” Dir. Taha said.

In region 12, at least 22,991 beneficiaries are currently covered by MCCT.

Under the MCCT program, an indigent family may receive up to P4,000 in monthly rental support payments for up to six months to a year.

The MCCT is an expansion of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, which provides a complete package of assistance to street families, including responsive shelter program, access to social services and economic opportunities for the improvement of their living conditions. (End)
