SOCCSKSARGEN – Despite the on-going armed conflict in Marawi City and the extension of Martial Law, the Department of Social Welfare and Development has lifted the suspension of the conduct of household assessment for On-Demand Application (ODA) in Mindanao.

DSWD Central Office sent a memorandum clarifying the general situation in several areas of Mindanao has stabilized despite the on-going armed conflict in Marawi City and extension of Martial Law. With this, the urgent objective of finalizing the Listahanan 2 database, through completion of ODA assessments, may already be pursued.

“The Field Office XII shall target a total of 19,508 households for On-Demand Application in SOCCSKSARGEN. These are the target households for Cotabato City – 9,799 HHs, North Cotabato – 3,074 HHs, Sultan Kudarat – 2,918 HHs, South Cotabato – 2,762 HHs, Sarangani – 955 HHs” said by Director Bai Zorahayda T. Taha.

Maslama B. Hassan, Regional Field Coordinator of Region XII reiterated the coverage of the conduct of ODA is based on the Exclusion (EX02)* complaints received during the Validation Phase and those Households who were not visited during the Data Collection Phase.

“There shall be hired 9 Area Supervisors, 43 Field Enumerators, 16 Encoders and 16 Verifiers to compliment the workforce of the Region. They shall be deployed in the areas to complete the household assessment” Maslama added.

On-Demand Application (ODA) provides an opportunity for households who were not assessed during the regular enumeration to apply for an assessment. The targets of this activity are those households in areas covered by Region and who believed that they are poor but have not been included in the previously conducted household assessment.

Listahanan, also known as the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR), is an information management system that identifies who, where and how many poor are nationwide. ###
