Cagayan de Oro City – In a tripartite signing ceremonies held here, the DSWD Regions XII and X with National Commission on Senior Citizens or NCSC committed mutual support in addressing the needs and in promoting the welfare of the vulnerable elderly sector.
Loreto Jr Cabaya, DSWD12 regional director and NCSC chair Franklin Quijano both agreed to establish data sharing in order to determine qualified and eligible senior citizens that need government intervention to protect their rights.
The database, which includes masterlist of beneficiaries will serve as reference in the implementation of the agency’s social pension program.
Along with data sharing, the parties also agreed to establish a temporary working space that will enhance collaboration among program implementers.
