General Santos City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XII recently trained staff on the Memorandum Circular No. 07 series of 2023, introducing enhanced guidelines for the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).
The training aimed to expedite the implementation process, rationalize cost parameters for modalities and interventions, and introduce new capability building activities to support livelihood and association development.
The new Memorandum Circular No. 07 emphasized a 5-year plan for the participants, compared to the previous 2-year approach. Moreover, it places significant emphasis on continuous capability-building for the participants throughout the entire duration of the program.
