Amas, Kidapawan City — In a recent courtesy visit, officials from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII (DSWD XII) joined hands with the leadership of Cotabato Province to highlight the accomplishments of 2023 and chart a course for the future.
The event, graced by the presence of DSWD XII Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya and Cotabato Province Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza, showcased the impactful programs and services delivered within the province.
The meeting served as a platform for both entities to enhance collaboration and discuss key initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of Cotabato residents.
Dir. Cabaya outlined the strategic vision for the Province of Cotabato, encompassing additional prepositioning of DSWD resources, cash-for-work activities aligned with El Niño preparation, Social Pension additional subsidy, and the payout schedule for 2024.
The presentation also delved into crucial topics such as the ‘Pugay Tagumpay” initiative under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and the transfer of funds for the Supplementary Feeding Program to Cotabato.
Director Cabaya expressed optimism about the collaborative efforts, emphasizing DSWD’s commitment to effectively serve the community.
Governor Emylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza conveyed gratitude for the continued support and proactive approach in addressing the basic social welfare needs of Cotabato constituents.
