Glan,Sarangani Province – The Disaster Response Management Division of DSWD XII, led by Naira Aratuc, in collaboration with the Disaster Response Management Bureau, headed by Assistant Bureau Director Rey Martija, PDO IV Ma. Theresa Bas and team conducted a comprehensive house-to-house visit and “Kamustahan” to assess the impact of Emergency Cash Transfer on residents who endured the aftermath of a 6.8 Magnitude earthquake last year.

Over 100 beneficiaries, whose homes suffered damages, were interviewed during the outreach. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, as beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the DSWD XII.

The ECT distributed by DSWD has not only contributed to the reconstruction of damaged houses but has also played a crucial role in addressing various essential needs. Beneficiaries shared that they utilized the funds not only for home repairs but also for purchasing medicines, investing in business capital, and acquiring school or grocery supplies for their households.
