Pigcawayan, Cotabato Province – In immediate response to yesterday’s firefight incident, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region XII (DSWD XII) has promptly mobilized aid for affected families in Pigcawayan.

Today, April 25, DSWD XII has delivered essential assistance to alleviate the challenging situation of 90 displaced families. This includes Family Kits, Sleeping Kits, Hygiene Kits, and FFPs, ensuring their immediate needs are met.

In collaboration with PLGU Cotabato, modular tents have been set up at the Municipal Gymnasium of Pigcawayan to provide shelter to families seeking refuge in evacuation areas.

According to the latest data, a total of 107 families have been affected by the incident. DSWD XII is committed to extending support to all affected families, with an additional 17 families set to receive food and non-food items promptly.

The Disaster Response Management Division of DSWD XII spearheaded the distribution of relief aid, reaffirming the agency’s dedication to serving those who are in need in times of crisis.
