A total of 29 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in General Santos City were hired instantly during the ‘Job Fair’ organized by the Department of Labor and Employment in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office of LGU General Santos City held in Lagao Gymnasium last April 5, 2025.

The job fair was attended by 400 job seekers in the city and nearby municipalities, and 160 of them came from the members and dependents of the 4Ps program.

Pamela Susvilla, regional case management focal, witnessed the hiring event together with some city links and technical staff that assist the applicants in acquiring employment opportunities and other services necessary for their pre-employment processing.

“The participation of 163 applicants from the 4Ps program out of the 400 attendees shows how targeted and helpful these kinds of events can be in offering tangible support to disadvantaged individuals,” said Susvilla.

Programs like the 4Ps are designed to provide long-term support, and job fairs represent a continuation of that support by helping beneficiaries transition from granting financial support to self-sufficiency.
