Koronadal City – To reinforce disaster preparedness and inter-agency collaboration, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII (DSWD 12), through its Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), convened the members for the 2nd Quarter Disaster Response Committee (DRC) Meeting for Calendar Year 2025.

Assistant Regional Director for Administration Emerita Q. Dizon, representing Regional Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya, delivered the opening message emphasizing unity and collective responsibility in addressing disaster-related challenges. Together with DRMD Chief Naira S. Aratuc, they facilitated the meeting and encouraged proactive sharing of agency efforts and plans.

Participating agencies including DHSUD XII, 6ID, PNP XII, DepEd XII, DA XII, DPWH XII, BFP XII, OCD XII, NFA XII, PAGASA XII, and PIA XII presented their respective accomplishments for the past quarter. These included enhancements in response systems, updated contingency measures, and innovations in community-based preparedness initiatives. Agencies also laid out their strategies and priorities for the coming months.

DSWD 12 reaffirmed its commitment to leading with compassion and coordination, working closely with partners to build safe, prepared, and resilient communities throughout SOCCSKSARGEN.
