Kidapawan City – The Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program recently convened its Program Management Team (PMT) Meeting, presided over by City Social Welfare and Development Officer (CSWDO) Daisy Gaviola. The session brought together key partners from the Department of Education – Schools Division Office, State Local Universities and Colleges (SLUCs), the LGU-Kidapawan Team, and the DSWD Regional and National Program Management Office for Tara, Basa!.

The meeting served as a venue to discuss program progress, address implementation concerns, and strengthen coordination among stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of tutoring sessions and other support services for learners.

During the activity, Jackie Simene, Information Officer of the Tara, Basa! National Program Management Office (NPMO) presented the documentation process for Good Practice, highlighting the significance of the Tara, Basa! Technology Transfer in Kidapawan City as the first in the country. This documentation aims to capture lessons learned, innovative approaches, and replicable strategies for future program expansions.

Following the PMT meeting, the team conducted the Program Review and Evaluation Workshop (PREW), which focused on assessing the outcomes and challenges of the program’s recent implementation.

Through these collaborative efforts, the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program remains committed to its mission of empowering children through education, with the strong partnership of local government units, schools, and the community.
