The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII extended assistance to nearby Maguindanao del Sur province particularly those experiencing crisis.

Regional Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya attended the cash payout of the Assistance to Individuals and Crisis Situation (AICS) to 500 Indigent patriarchs, farmers and Ustadz in Satellite Provincial Capitol of Maguindanao del Sur, this February 8, 2023 receiving ₱3,000 each.

“This is part of our oath to provide social protection and services to people in need and it is comforting knowing that we are doing it right,” said Cabaya.

Maguindanao del Sur governor Bai Mariam Mangudadatu led the distribution with the help of Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR)-Maguindanao that assisted in identifying these beneficiaries as the most- affected individuala in agriculture, fisheries and livestock commodities during the Typhoon Paeng.

“DSWD Field Office XII under the leadership of RD Cabaya has always been very generous to Maguindanao. Everytime that we needed aid he never hesitated in providing assistance to us”, expressed Mangudadatu.
