We used to fetch water, now we have running water straight from the faucet in our houses, said Rene Rose Villanueva, a community volunteer from barangay Tawantawan in town.
About 526 families are expected to benefit from the ₱492,808 water system project from
Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI CIDSS) of DSWD XII.
The local government unit also provided ₱70,193 counterpart while more than ₱27k was already provided by the Barangay.
Meanwhile in barangay Dungoan a ₱2,067424.50 worth of Isolation facility was turned over. It’s a retrofitted project of the community from an existing Madrasah building now turned into an isolation facility with ₱295,230 lgu counterpart and ₱115,954 share from the Barangay.
These projects are identified by the community since one of the project objectives of the program is to give them voice and support in development.
