Isulan, Sultan Kudarat – A total of 310 micro-rice retailers in Sultan Kudarat province receive here today their Php15,000 cash assistance in response to the rice price cap due to issuance of EO 39.

Bailano Ali, assistant director for administration of DSWD12 said that although this is not big enough, the cash can at least lessen the burden faced by the rice retailers.

“Let us thank President Marcos for allocating and approving funds to help our rice retailers”, ARDA Ali said.

Meanwhile, Sultan Kudarat governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu coined this initiative as a sign of “good partnership” to among all levels of government to address concerns of affected sectors.

Gov. Mangudadatu hoped that all validated retailers will receive the asisstance soonest and no one will be set aside in this aid.

The total amount of assistance set for distribution for Sultan Kudarat province today is Php4, 650,000.00. Same payout activity is currently conducted in Cotabato Province.
