General Santos City – In consonance to the implementation of Kilos Unlad, a 7-year social case management strategy employed in the government’s anti-poverty 4Ps, some 50 workers were currently trained on new approaches that will enhance program implementation.
Pamela Susvilla, regional case management focal said that the training will be applied in working with individuals, families, groups and communities.
Susvilla said, “this is piloted in identified household beneficiaries nationwide coming from various status of well-being including Indigenous Peoples, farmers, homeless and firsherfolks.”
In Kilos Unlad, groups are formed to provide mutual support and care to cope up with difficult circumstances, to serve as a learning avenue for members with common needs or concerns.
Community organizing, according to Susvila will identify collective issues and concerns and work together in accessing resources for community projects until their eventual exit to the program.
