DSWD Field Office XII – The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) continues to enhance the socio-economic status of impoverished, vulnerable, and marginalized households and communities by providing livelihood assistance to 61 individuals recently.
These 61 beneficiaries consist of individual referrals and walk-in clients. Among them, 45 are from South Cotabato, 15 are from Sultan Kudarat, and 1 is from Sarangani. Each will receive P15,000, totaling P915,000 in livelihood grants.
These eligible individuals were referred by various sources, including individuals, groups, or organizations such as local government units, national government agencies, state universities and colleges, civil society organizations, self-governing boards, commissions, and those individuals who contacted and visited the national or regional management office of the SLP.
During the event, Emerita Q. Dizon, Chief Administrative Officer, emphasized the importance of acquiring the skills necessary to sustain and manage the chosen enterprises of the beneficiaries.
One of the beneficiaries, Lorna A. Sumagaysay from Koronadal City, also expressed her gratitude to the SLP and DSWD, saying, “Nagpapasalamat po at saludo po kami sa inyo.”
