DSWD Covered Court, Koronadal City – A total of Php13.1 million worth of capital seed fund was disbursed benefitting 35 Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) groups.
The funds were distributed to 12 SLP Associations from Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat province receiving P4.8 million, while 8 associations in General Santos City were granted P3,315,000.
Also, 7 associations in Alamada, Cotabato Province, obtained a combined total of P1,770,000, and 4 associations in Malapatan, Sarangani Province received P1,590,000.
Four associations in Malungon, Sarangani Province were released with a total of P1,665,000.
These initiatives are expected to bring significant benefits to each of these communities.
Sohra P. Guialel, OIC of Policy and Plans Division of the agency emphasized the importance of using these funds effectively, urging recipients to responsibly steward the government’s support.
Abdul Aziz Dimagel of Lutayan Proper Association, a beneficiary expressed his gratitude saying, “Ngayon binigyan tayo ng programa upang mai-angat ang ating buhay. Atin itong pagkaingatan. Maraming salamat po.”
The program aligns with the Philippine government’s commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals 1 and 8, which focus on poverty reduction and the promotion of decent work and economic growth.
