Koronadal City – A three-day capacity building activity takes off here today to provide social welfare officers and local government representatives recent updates on human trafficking.

Noraima Dalam, focal person on RRPTP or Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons said that online sexual abuse and exploitation of children is now an act of Trafficking.

Dalam also cited that child sexual abuse or exploitation materials is also another form of trafficking.

The training was aimed at integrating trafficking cases, to among case managers, the gender perspective such that gender biases are removed when encountering client-victims.

Meanwhile, protective services division chief Ryan Balanza urged for end of human trafficking.

In SOCCSKSARGEN region, Balanza said that more or less 30 cases of trafficking have already been served.
