Glan, Saranggani – For the first time since 2016 implementation of the Centenarian Law, an identifed senior citizen that reached a hundred years from this town was awarded a centenarian gift amounting to P100,000.

A current social pensioner, Candida Juban celebrated her 100th birthday today September 23, 2023 in her hometown here in Brgy. Calabanit.

She also received a plaque of recognition from President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr, while she was also provided 50 kilos rice, 5000 worth of grocery items and 1 lechon from the local government of Glan.

Christian Juban, her caretaker grandson said, “we will deposit in the bank the money intended for her diaper, wipes, alcohol, milk and monthly medical maintenance.”

For his patience to his “lola”, the Vice Mayor of Glan awarded 1000 cash gift to Christian.
