Tantangan, South Cotabato – In connection to the observance of Family Week celebration held every last week of September of every year, the DSWD12’s Home for Girls and Women (HFGW) led various activities that foster the spirit of family.

In his speech, assistant director Bonifacio Selma stressed the importance of family support especially in the situation faced by residents, as they have undergone abuse and violence.

The activity includes talent showcase, awarding rites, gift-giving to parents and family meal.

Ryan Balanza, protective services division chief assured that DSWD will always be part of achieving their dreams while they recover from their traumas.

Currently, a total of 32 active client-residents are catered by the center while being engaged in psychosocial recovery interventions such as singng, dancing, arts, employable skills improvement, schooling and many more.
