General Santos City – Over 20 social workers from DSWD12 carried out stress debriefing sessions today, November 22 for more than 80 school personnel of Golden State College here.
Naira Aratuc, Chief of the Disaster Response Management Division, highlighted, “This initiative underscores that not all disasters can be addressed solely by providing food packs.”
“The agency prioritizes the mental and psychological well-being of the victims affected by the 6.8 earthquake that shook the SOCCSKSARGEN region,” she emphasized.
The CISD (Critical Incident and Stress Debriefing) serves as a crisis intervention aimed at mitigating the traumatic impact of disasters on individuals.
Aratuc further explained, “The CISD significantly aids in enhancing the effective coping of victims.”
