In the ongoing efforts to rebuild the lives of the affected families and individuals who were distressed by an earthquake last November 2023, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XII continues to provide cash aid to families in need.

Yesterday, January 22, in Glan, a total of 485 beneficiaries with partially damaged houses received financial aid amounting to P13,590 as part of the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program.

This initiative aims to help individuals and families rebuild and recover from the impact of the earthquake.

Today, the focus shifts to Malapatan, where DSWD XII plans to serve financial aid to 1,511 target beneficiaries with partially damaged houses.

The department recognizes the urgency of addressing the needs of those who have suffered from the devastating consequences of the earthquake.

DSWD XII Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya expressed his dedication to the cause, saying, “We are resolute in our commitment to supporting every affected individual and family on their path to recovery.

The ECT program is a crucial step in rebuilding lives and communities.” As the payout operations continue, DSWD XII encourages affected individuals to stay informed about the schedule and locations of the ongoing ECT activities in their respective municipalities.
