Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XII continues its strides in addressing involuntary hunger through the expansion of the Walang Gutom 2027: Food Stamp Program (FSP) in Parang, Maguindanao recently.

An additional 44 beneficiaries were successfully validated and registered from various barangays of Parang, including Bongo Island.

The validation and registration encompassed households from different areas, ensuring that assistance reaches those in need across the municipality. This expansion reflects the program’s dedication to inclusivity and its goal of reducing the incidence of involuntary hunger experienced by Filipino households.

As with previous registrations, beneficiaries will soon receive their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards, which they will utilize during market or redemption days monthly.

The FSP remains committed not only to addressing hunger but also to empower beneficiaries to become more productive members of society. Through capacity building and training opportunities, participants are equipped with the skills necessary to enhance their employability and contribute to the overall development of the community.

The support and collaboration of the Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte, under the leadership of Mayor Cahar P. Ibay, have been instrumental in the success of this endeavor. Their commitment to the welfare of the community has greatly facilitated the implementation and outreach of the FSP.
