Koronadal City | The Unified Social Protection and Welfare Committee or USPWC XII recently agreed to pass two (2) resolutions for endorsement to the Regional Social Development Committee.

In the USPWC’s first quarter meeting held recently, the members proposed for an improved program design of KALAHI CIDSS that aims to build the resiliency of communities vulnerable to the effects of climate change.

Another proposed change include the scope of the Philippine Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP).

DSWD FO XII Regional Director Loreto Jr. V. Cabaya, who presided said meeting as chair, discussed the plan for the upcoming 2024 operational concerns, and presented the previous highlights from last year’s accomplishments.

Policy and Plans Division Chief Ms. Sohra P. Guialel also joined the meeting together with. partner agencies, NGOs, and NGAs in SOCCSKSARGEN region.

The USPWC is a DSWD XII led group that involves various Regional Line Agencies and Social Welfare Sectors (Children and Youth, Persons with disabilities, Senior Citizens, Women and Families).
