Koronadal City – More than 15,000 family food packs and 1000 modular tents have been delivered in Davao region recently to augment relief operations for families affected by shearline and a trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA).
Loreto Jr. Cabaya, Regional Director of DSWD12 said that inter-regional coordination is part of disaster management.
Cabaya said, “in times of extensive damages to human lives, nearby regions can augment per request or per directives from top management.”
Currently, a total of 2000 family food packs are set to be delivered to Davao for additional relief augmentation.
The heavy rains, brought about by shearline and trough of Low Pressure Area, has affected more than 300,00 families in Davao, Caraga and SOCCSKSARGEN regions.
