Jeniva Carreon Sanchez, 24, the daughter of a 4Ps parent leader Ms. Gina Sanchez in Brgy. Baluntay is now living her dream as a public teacher as she was given the chance to experience a 90 day Cash-For-Work Program under Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services of DSWD.

She obtained her license in teaching last 2022 after she graduated ‘Cum Laude’ in Mindanao State University General Santos City. With her exceptional record, she was qualified to teach and earn Php 390/day in Grade II class of Datu Abdullah Tondog Integrated School, a school where she also spent her primary years in education.

She recalled that her family became recipient of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program way back 2011 that changed the course of their lives.

Right now, her focus is to advance her learning and gain more experience in teaching so she could qualify and be part of the teaching workforce of Department of Education.

Jeniva’s tale serves as a reminder that even the most difficult challenges may be conquered with perseverance and right support from the government.
